Berlin was a nice, if short, visit. My ear infection remained incredibly painful, so I went to see a German doctor who poured medicine into my ear and packed it with gauze. In a terrific twist, he turned out to be Arab, and since I don't speak German, we spoke in Arabic. Hooray, I am learning things. Plus, my ear is better. And, I can make a strawberry shortcake cake from scratch.

ReplyDeleteOohps pressed finish before I'd finished writing my comment - then thought this was Marita's blog - totally confused myself - it sounds like an amazing trip - thanks for signing up to Ruscombe Green! Colorado was beautiful - I have one of those beautiful shots of snow covered mountains as my screensaver at work! Local election results today so must dash - I've not been standing in them but have friends so will be at the count.
